Margo’s Got Money Troubles Series-Premiere Recap: Ruined My Life So Pretty

We first meet Margo, a hopeful college student and aspiring writer who works as a waitress to make ends meet. She’s carefree and open-minded, so when her married professor shows interest, she decides to pursue a relationship with him. This leads to an unplanned pregnancy, and she chooses to have the baby. While the series will likely explore the difficulties that follow, Margo remains optimistic. The first episode introduces a strained relationship with her mother, Shyanne, brilliantly played by Michelle Pfeiffer. Shyanne had Margo herself as a young woman, without much help, and she’s terrified of her daughter repeating the same challenging experience.

The Testaments Recap: Storm in a Teacup

In a voiceover, Daisy explains that security has been increased after the attack on the Plum bus last episode. The Aunts are taken to Commander and Mrs. MacKenzie’s house for the party with a heavy security presence – bomb-sniffing dogs and armored vehicles are everywhere. Like the earlier novel Handmaid’s Tale, Testaments enjoys using contrasting images. Here, the contrast is between a traditional, polite social gathering and the loud, imposing sound of military helicopters flying above.

Netflix’s 8-Part Stranger Things Followup Borrows From A Divisive ’80s Sci-Fi

As a huge Stranger Things fan, I’m loving that they’re giving us more content between the seasons we already know! There’s a new series that shows what Hopper, Eleven, and the whole gang – Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Will, Max, and even Steve – were up to between seasons 2 and 3. And if you want even more backstory, the author Caitlyn Schneiderhan wrote a novel called Stranger Things: One Way or Another that bridges the gap between seasons 4 and 5. It’s great to get those little details filled in!

Dead Villain Returns as The Boys Reveals Whose Voice Homelander Was Hearing

In the opening moments of The Boys Season 5, Episode 2, titled “Teenage Kix,” Homelander experiences a vision while at A-Train’s funeral. He’s overcome by the influence of “Oh Father,” and a bright light shines on his face as he hears a calming woman’s voice affectionately call him, “My sweet boy.”

My Strange Dysphoria

I had just turned eighteen and had been living in New York City for four months after moving from New Delhi, and I was really enjoying the freedom of living on my own. That night, that meant using a fake ID to get unlimited margaritas at a Mexican restaurant somewhere on Broadway in the 110s. It was December, right after my first college finals, during that strange period before winter break when classes were over and everyone was getting together for meals and drinks before going home. A friend from my pre-med classes invited me to a get-together with her friends. I almost didn’t go because I didn’t know anyone, but she was right – I needed to relax.

‘The Man From Nowhere’ Action Thriller Remake in the Works With ‘The Raid’ Star

Honestly, I’m really excited about this remake. They’re doing an Indonesian version of The Man from Nowhere, and that’s huge because it was a major inspiration for John Wick and Chad Stahelski’s vision of Baba Yaga. The original Korean film is fantastic – it’s got that perfect setup for a classic action thriller: a quiet, enigmatic pawn shop owner with a hidden past gets pulled back into a dangerous world when a little girl is kidnapped by criminals. It’s a premise that just works.
