Netflix’s 8-Part Stranger Things Followup Borrows From A Divisive ’80s Sci-Fi

As a huge Stranger Things fan, I’m loving that they’re giving us more content between the seasons we already know! There’s a new series that shows what Hopper, Eleven, and the whole gang – Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Will, Max, and even Steve – were up to between seasons 2 and 3. And if you want even more backstory, the author Caitlyn Schneiderhan wrote a novel called Stranger Things: One Way or Another that bridges the gap between seasons 4 and 5. It’s great to get those little details filled in!

Dead Villain Returns as The Boys Reveals Whose Voice Homelander Was Hearing

In the opening moments of The Boys Season 5, Episode 2, titled “Teenage Kix,” Homelander experiences a vision while at A-Train’s funeral. He’s overcome by the influence of “Oh Father,” and a bright light shines on his face as he hears a calming woman’s voice affectionately call him, “My sweet boy.”

My Strange Dysphoria

I had just turned eighteen and had been living in New York City for four months after moving from New Delhi, and I was really enjoying the freedom of living on my own. That night, that meant using a fake ID to get unlimited margaritas at a Mexican restaurant somewhere on Broadway in the 110s. It was December, right after my first college finals, during that strange period before winter break when classes were over and everyone was getting together for meals and drinks before going home. A friend from my pre-med classes invited me to a get-together with her friends. I almost didn’t go because I didn’t know anyone, but she was right – I needed to relax.

‘The Man From Nowhere’ Action Thriller Remake in the Works With ‘The Raid’ Star

Honestly, I’m really excited about this remake. They’re doing an Indonesian version of The Man from Nowhere, and that’s huge because it was a major inspiration for John Wick and Chad Stahelski’s vision of Baba Yaga. The original Korean film is fantastic – it’s got that perfect setup for a classic action thriller: a quiet, enigmatic pawn shop owner with a hidden past gets pulled back into a dangerous world when a little girl is kidnapped by criminals. It’s a premise that just works.

Clayface Trailer Gets the Same Reactions From DC Viewers

A trailer for the new horror film, Clayface, was recently shown at CinemaCon. The movie centers around Matt Hagen, an actor whose face is severely damaged by a criminal. Desperate for a solution, he turns to a scientist who performs experimental procedures on him. These procedures change his body, turning him into a shapeshifting creature made of clay.

The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum Finally Completes Cast With Jamie Dornan as Aragorn

I was really excited to hear that Jamie Dornan, who I remember from 50 Shades of Grey, is going to be playing Strider – that’s Aragorn, for those who don’t know – in the new Warner Bros. project! They announced it at CinemaCon, and it’s great news. Viggo Mortensen did an amazing job in the original trilogy, so filling those shoes will be tough. The best part? They’ve also confirmed some of our favorite characters will be back for this spinoff, which is a huge relief!

‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ Season 2 Filming Shuts Down After Flooding

It’s a bit surprising, but production on Season 2 of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has been put on hold. One of the things that set this series apart from Game of Thrones was how quickly and efficiently it was made. Showrunner Ira Parker has often discussed the Hedge Knight novellas by George R.R. Martin – three have been published so far. The team’s goal is to create a season for each novella, aiming for one season per year. This would allow them to stay true to the original stories and continue using actor Dexter Sol Ansell, who closely resembles the character Egg at his current age.

30 Years Later, 1 Historical Epic Still Has The Greatest Quote In the Genre

William Wallace’s famous speech, delivered during a time of great conflict, speaks to a deeply human desire for freedom and a meaningful life. It’s less about fighting a war and more about answering a basic question: what makes life worth living? In just eleven words, the line captures the central idea of Braveheart: that a life without freedom is not a life at all.
