
Police say a Kentucky woman was arrested after giving her 22-month-old son a tattoo, reportedly because he asked for one.
On Monday, May 4th, Brook McDaniel, age 27, was arrested after Kentucky State Police investigated a report of child abuse in Monticello, Kentucky. Investigators found a small, black tattoo on the child’s right forearm that appeared irritated.
Police reports state that McDaniel was tattooing herself when a young child approached and put his arm where the tattoo machine was working. Witnesses told officers that McDaniel called the resulting mark a “party dot” and claimed the child had asked for it.

After receiving a report of child abuse, police questioned McDaniel about a tattoo found on a young child’s arm. She reportedly admitted to giving the child the tattoo, stating it occurred while she was tattooing herself.
According to the report, officers discovered a small, black tattoo dot on the toddler’s right forearm and observed some redness surrounding it.
Officials reached out to Kentucky’s health and family services department after finding the conditions inside the home to be extremely poor.
McDaniel was arrested for assault and child abuse. She was taken to the Adair County Regional Jail and is being held on a $5,000 cash bond, according to Lex18.
