Lizzy Caplan is joining the cast of the Broadway adaptation of The Morning Show. She’ll play Gwen, a dedicated and strong-willed theater director, according to Deadline. It’s currently unknown how long her role will last. Caplan will be alongside Jeff Daniels, Reneé Rapp, Jesse Williams, and Sean Hayes in the fifth season. She’s had recent success in television with roles in Fleishman Is In Trouble, Fatal Attraction, and Zero Day, which provides great experience for this challenging production. While the specific political issues facing the characters Alex and Bradley haven’t been revealed, it’s likely the show will address current events like gas and egg prices. Hopefully, the season will also include a compelling storyline inspired by the popular social media rivalry between Alix Earle and Alex Cooper.
