Random: Now You Can Smell Like a Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 NPC with This $200 Fragrance

Let’s be real, what did people in Medieval Europe actually smell like in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2? It wasn’t roses, that’s for sure. Think sweat, dirt, and the general smells of a time without modern hygiene. No one was using fancy perfume back then!

Kintsugi Perfumes’ new fragrance, priced at €155.99 (around $183), tries to capture the feeling of the game’s era through its scent. It uses a blend of apple, herbs, chamomile, and elderflower to create a unique aroma inspired by the potions you can make in the game.

Here’s what the official product description says:

Perfumer Martin Švach created this fragrance based on the scents experienced by the game’s main character, Henry. The perfume includes notes of sage, chamomile, and lavender – herbs Henry uses to make healing potions – as well as apple and honey, which restore his energy. These scents mirror the ingredients found throughout the game world and reflect Henry’s journey.

The full breakdown of notes, for those familiar with fragrance terminology, are as follows:

Head
Apple, Lavender, Mint
Heart
Chamomile, Rose, Elderflower, Honey, Sage
Base
Olibanum, Leather, Papyrus, Birch

This scent will be very appealing. It has a bright, fresh top note combined with a grounding, earthy undertone, creating a pleasant aroma.

Okay, so this fragrance costs almost $200 for a pretty small bottle – just 50ml! Honestly, as a gamer, I’m used to spending money, but that’s a lot for cologne, and I’m not really seeing what makes it worth choosing over other scents for that price.

It’s become surprisingly common for perfumes to team up with popular franchises. In recent years, we’ve seen scents inspired by things like Demon Slayer, and many other collaborations.

They’re usually pretty cheap, though, and rarely use the high quality ingredients on offer here.

Just so you know, this is currently only available to customers in the European Union, likely because of difficulties with shipping. Unfortunately, that probably includes excluding the United Kingdom as well.

This is a pretty cool idea, though! Are you interested in seeing more fragrances inspired by video games, or do you think this is going too far with merchandise? Let us know what you think in the comments!
