Monster Crown: Sin Eater is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, as announced by Red Art Games and Studio Aurum.
Monster Crown: Sin Eater started as a crowdfunding project on Kickstarter in 2025, successfully raising CA$77,222. It’s a sequel to the first Monster Crown game, which launched in October 2021 after being available in Early Access.

Monster Crown: Sin Eater is a visually stunning 2D monster-taming RPG created by Studio Aurum and brought to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S by Red Art Studios. It features a dynamic story, the innovative True Crossbreeding System that Monster Crown is known for, and over a thousand uniquely designed monster sprites. The game strives to redefine what’s possible within the monster-taming genre.
Monster Crown: Sin Eater will be available in stores and digitally on July 2nd in Europe, and is now available for pre-order from Red Art Games’ online store.

Monster Crown: Sin Eater is a 2D role-playing game where you collect and train monsters. It takes the monster-taming genre to a new level with a world full of unique creatures. These monsters aren’t just battles to win – they each have their own behaviors and personalities. Some will run away, others will attack, and the most dangerous ones will secretly follow you.
As you play, you’ll discover towns full of unique people. What makes Monster Crown: Sin Eater special is that your choices and conversations truly matter, shaping the story and determining how it ends.
The Story
In Monster Crown: Sin Eater’s story, you play as Asur, a young man who dreams of becoming a skilled Monster Tamer, following in the footsteps of his brother and the legendary Dyeus. When his family faces a serious threat, Asur takes action, ultimately changing the fate of the Crown Nation.
Asur’s quest will bring him into conflict with Lord Taishakuten and his powerful Holy Order, who have governed the Crown Nation for over a millennium. Order is kept by the Four Heavenly Kings and their terrifying Beastman Inquisitors – monstrous beings created through dark and forbidden science, designed to maintain peace at any cost.
Asur’s journey will bring him into contact with various groups who all want to see the current power structure crumble. Players will decide whether Asur allies with these groups or faces his challenges on his own. The choices you make will shape the future of the Crown Nation and determine the world Asur builds for its people.
Players will definitely need to gather a strong team of allies. Asur can’t succeed on his own!

Monster Crown: Sin Eater is a game centered around collecting and training Monsters. Players will explore the Crown Nation, taming a wide variety of creatures brought to life with detailed pixel art. With over a thousand unique Monster designs and countless color options, you’re sure to find the perfect Monster companion – and if you’re lucky, you might even discover a rare, special variant!
And there’s more! Just like the world is full of things to discover, Monsters also have a lot of variety. Players can find tons of different combinations and types of Monsters as they play!
Some Monsters change form when they come into contact with different elements. Experimenting with items on your Monsters can lead to unexpected discoveries! With a huge variety of Monsters to find, plus their unique crossbreeds and transformations – and even crossbreeds of those transformations – completing a full collection is a real test for dedicated collectors.
