Perp Games and Project Cloud Games have revealed that their game, The Relic: First Guardian, will be available on PlayStation 5 and Steam (PC) starting July 31st.
The game is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox this summer. PlayStation 5 owners can find the physical copy of The Relic: First Guardian in stores starting September 4th. You can watch the release date trailer and see the official announcement from Perp Games below.
Project Cloud Games, a South Korean game studio, and Perp Games have announced that their new game, The Relic: First Guardian, will be released on July 31st.
The dark fantasy action RPG, influenced by the soulslike genre, will launch on PlayStation 5 and PC on July 31st. A new trailer has been released offering a first look at the game, where players, known as First Guardians, must prepare to fight a spreading darkness that has corrupted the once-peaceful land of Arsiltus.
Slay. SLAY your enemies
Prepare to face over 70 challenging bosses! To succeed, you’ll need powerful weapons – each designed to match your preferred fighting style. You can customize every sword, axe, and staff with special abilities to perfectly suit how you play. Choose from five different weapon types and twelve unique skill trees to create a truly personalized character class.
It’s all in the stamina
The combat in The Relic: First Guardian is unique because it gives players a lot of freedom in how they attack and how intensely they focus on survival. Unlike many games, attacking doesn’t drain your stamina – stamina is reserved for blocking and dodging. Skills have cooldowns, but don’t require any resources, letting players fight in a way that feels natural to them and fits their personal rhythm.
Levelling solo
Instead of traditional levels, players get stronger by finding ‘Relics’ – collectible memories. Each Relic has one of over 70 different effects, changing how skills work, the pace of combat, and even how certain weapons perform. By carefully choosing which Relics to equip, players customize their character’s growth and focus on experiences within the game world.
Your story is yet to be told
Inspired by rich Asian myths and legends, this game features a collection of stories as individual as the players themselves. Players will experience themes of love, loss, and unconventional bravery as they work to restore peace to the land of Arsiltus.
An adventure for every platform
I’m so excited! I just heard that The Relic: First Guardian is coming to PlayStation 5 and PC on July 31st. And good news for Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2 owners – it’ll be available later this summer, they’re just finalizing the exact date now.
Those who own a PlayStation 5 and enjoy collecting physical game copies will be happy to know a physical version is launching on September 4th.
