Shoring Up Defences Quest Guide in ARC Raiders

I was really hoping for a chill day at the beach – you know, waves, a gentle breeze… but it turns out there are killer robots flying around! It’s not exactly the relaxing getaway I pictured, but hey, I’ll roll with it.

I’m so excited! The new ARC Raiders update, Riven Tides, is finally here, and we finally get to explore a completely new map! It’s been ages since they added Stella Montis back in 2025, so this fresh content is seriously welcome.

The new map comes with a wave of fresh quests, set on the Beachfront and continuing existing storylines. If you’re looking for action, the “Shoring Up Defences” quest offers lots of robot battles and some engaging exploration.

Let’s take a look at this brand-new quest and how to get it done as quickly as possible.

Prerequisites

This new quest becomes available immediately after you update to the latest version of the game – there are no other steps needed to start it.

Don’t go into the match without carefully choosing your equipment, though. You’ll face some tough opponents, so being prepared is key.

Fireflies are known for being very durable, so you’ll need weapons that can pierce their strong metal armor. You can easily defeat them with seeker grenades, or if you have the resources, use a powerful weapon like the Anvil or Hullcracker.

You’ll also need 1 ARC Alloy to fix things. You can either bring it with you, or find it by scavenging parts from a destroyed ARC unit.

Riven Tides is a large, open map similar to Blue Gate, and it’s full of enemy ARC devices. Having Adrenaline Shots, Photoelectric Cloaks, and a good shield will be extremely helpful for navigating it.

Shoring Up Defences Quest Walkthrough

Swatting Flies

Firstly, you will be given 2 objectives which require you to take down the following ARC units:

5x Wasps
3x Fireflies

Fortunately, these small creatures are common, making them easy to locate. They also tend to travel together in groups, usually with two Wasps, one Hornet, and one Firefly in each group.

Shoot at their propellers to force them out of cover. This will help you quickly complete both objectives in a single game.

Parkour!

After defeating the ARC enemies, go to the Stacking Yard near the ocean.

Go to the bottom of the main crane. You’ll see a zipline that takes you up to the middle level. Ride the zipline, and you’ll end up next to a small, blue raider tent. Fix the tent’s legs using the ARC Alloy you have, or destroy one of the Wasps flying around above. Doing either of those things will complete another step in your task!

All-Inclusive Package

Lastly, head to the Hotel Complex for some repairs. You’ll find it on the far west side of the map.

You’ll need to cover up some broken windows. There are windows all over the hotel, but you’ll mostly find the ones you can board up on the east side.

I checked out the third floor and discovered some broken windows in a vacant hotel room with an ocean view. Keep exploring each room, and you’ll eventually find one you can investigate further.

Board up the window, and then you’re free to extract whenever you wish.

Rewards

Upon quest completion, Apollo will award you with the following items:

3x Barricade Kit
3x Lure Grenade Trap
6x Seeker Grenades

You’ll receive a Dockmaster’s Detector at the start of this quest, but it’s not actually needed to finish it.
