The latest Spider-Man game includes several Marvel characters, including The Thing from the Fantastic Four, who has a cool new look. Ben Grimm, a fan favorite across comics, cartoons, games, and movies, is known for his fun personality and surprisingly deep, emotional backstory. He’s always a charismatic and engaging character.
Many consider 2025’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps to be one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s strongest films, largely thanks to Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s performance as Ben Grimm, The Thing. Moss-Bachrach, known for his role in The Bear, brought humor, warmth, and genuine emotion to the character, especially when portraying Ben’s difficult transformation into his rocky form.
The Thing, who first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe last year, will be back in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie, joining a large ensemble cast. A preview for the film showed The Thing interacting with M’Baku, the King of Wakanda, hinting at a significant crossover event. Fans can also see a different version of the character alongside another Marvel hero before the movie’s release.
Okay, so I’m really into Spidey and his Amazing Friends, and in season four, The Thing makes a comeback! It’s cool seeing so many characters pop up in this show – it’s all about Spidey, Miles, and Gwen teaming up and using their powers. And The Thing? He’s sporting a seriously awesome suit this season. Definitely a fun watch!
Marvel Has Revealed What Spidey And His Amazing Friends Season 4’s The Thing Looks Like
The Thing recently showed up in season 4, episode 16 of the Marvel series Spidey and his Amazing Friends, titled “A Helping Handful.” In this version, Spider-Man wears a Fantastic Four team uniform—a single, streamlined suit. The costume has a modern design, using various shades of blue and black for a striking look.
Like the Fantastic Four’s usual outfits, The Thing’s costume is famous for the “4” on his chest. The sleeveless design and short shorts really make his blue suit stand out against his orange, rocky skin. Throughout the show, Ben Grimm has worn different versions of this suit, and one even included a space helmet.
Season 4 of Spidey and his Amazing Friends continues the “Water Webs” storyline, featuring a pirate theme throughout the settings, stories, outfits, and characters. Although The Thing doesn’t join the pirate fun with a new costume, he teams up with Spider-Man to stop Rhino and H.E.R.B.I.E., who’s been malfunctioning and stealing things due to damaged wires.
How Spidey And His Amazing Friends Season 4’s The Thing Compares To Other Versions Of The Marvel Hero?
The original Fantastic Four team got their iconic superhero look in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which is noticeably different from The Thing’s outfit in season 4 of Spidey and his Amazing Friends. The costume in the MCU movie was designed to match the film’s vintage-future style, so it’s made of materials that don’t resemble typical spandex and features a mix of large white and light blue areas. In contrast, the Spidey and his Amazing Friends design feels much more modern, with darker colors and a more detailed, complex appearance compared to the movie’s simpler, cleaner look.
The Fantastic Four suit worn by John Krasinski in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is remarkably similar to The Thing’s outfit from Spidey and his Amazing Friends. Both suits share a modern, streamlined design with a blue and black color scheme and lines along the sides. Although Krasinski’s suit included pants and had some other distinctions, the overall look and feel were very comparable to the one seen in the animated Spider-Man series.
