KFC is giving itself a big makeover worldwide. They’re updating their logo, redesigning restaurants, and adding new food to the menu, all to create a more modern look and feel.
The company, owned by Yum Brands, has announced a major overhaul, which will eventually impact its more than 34,000 locations in over 150 countries. They’re calling this a new phase for the business.
Okay, so KFC just dropped a huge update! Everything’s getting a makeover – the logo’s new and improved, they’ve redrawn Colonel Sanders, and all the packaging is totally redesigned. Plus, their website and app are getting a fresh look, and they’re even working on new restaurant designs. It’s like a whole new KFC experience, honestly!
KFC isn’t abandoning its iconic style. While the classic red, white, and black will still be used, they’re adding a broader range of colors inspired by herbs and spices to give the brand more options for its visual presentation.
KFC recently updated its branding with help from the creative agency JKR. The new look focuses on KFC’s famous bucket as a key part of its image, and the company is referring to this expanded brand experience as the “Bucketverse.”

KFC adds new sauces, boneless chicken, and drinks
This isn’t just a new look for KFC; they’re also adding more boneless chicken choices to the menu, like tenders perfect for dipping and snacking.
Okay, so they’re really stepping up the sauce game! They’re rolling out over 20 new flavors, and it’s not just the same stuff everywhere. They’re actually making sauces for local tastes – I saw Chimichurri Ranch and Hot Honey Habanero, which sound amazing and totally different. It’s cool they’re customizing things like that.
Starting in 2025, KFC began updating its menu to include more boneless chicken options. This change came after the company noticed they were losing popularity with younger customers (Gen Z) who generally prefer boneless pieces over traditional fried drumsticks.
Okay, so KFC is really stepping up their drink game! They’ve got this new thing called KWENCH, and it’s basically a whole menu of drinks – think boba teas, milkshakes, sparkling lemonades, and iced coffee. I tried some of the stuff during a test run, and it’s pretty good! Now, they’re making it a permanent thing in Australia and Canada this year, which is awesome. I’m hoping it comes to other countries soon!

The company is developing fresh restaurant concepts and plans to launch its first US location this summer in McKinney, Texas. They’re also building a large, impressive store in Dubai scheduled to open this fall.
The launch will start in the UK and Ireland, and then expand to the United States, Australia, and other countries during 2026.
KFC’s new CEO, Scott Mezvinsky, believes the company can become the leader in the growing global chicken market by redefining what modern chicken means.
As a huge KFC fan, I have to say they’ve really been leading the way with some wild collaborations lately! Remember last year when they came out with fried chicken-flavored toothpaste? It was crazy, but it actually sold out super fast – I missed out, sadly!
The restaurant teamed up with Hackney Gelato to create an ice cream flavored like their famous gravy.
Good news for KFC lovers! Colonel Sanders’ old house is now for sale in Canada, offering a unique chance to own a piece of history.
