The new Skate game from EA and Full Circle is now available on Xbox and PlayStation. Players wondering about a Nintendo Switch or potential Switch 2 version are left asking, will it come to those consoles?
Switch 2 version not planned “at the moment”
So, I was really hoping to play the new Skate game on my Switch, but it doesn’t look like that’s happening anytime soon. I checked the EA forums, and a community manager straight up said there aren’t any plans for a Switch 2 version right now. Bummer!
Skate will soon be available on mobile devices! Currently, you can play it on PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, but the game is also coming to iOS and Android in the future.
Although the popular game *Skate* isn’t currently available on Nintendo Switch, there are still several skateboarding games you can play on the console, such as *Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2* and *3+4*, *Skate Bird*, *Skater XL*, *Session*, and *OlliOlli World*.
Skate is available to play for free on all devices. The developers, Full Circle, plan to earn revenue through optional in-game purchases and by selling two bundles: the Founder’s Pack ($25) and the Founder’s Pack Deluxe ($50). Both bundles contain cosmetic items to customize your experience.
After a twelve-year gap since Skate 3, the newest Skate game has finally arrived, and fans were incredibly eager to play. This high demand caused some server problems when it first launched, but those issues have been resolved and the game is now running smoothly.
Skate is currently available as an early-access game, but the complete version won’t be released for around a year. The developers, Full Circle, plan to use player feedback to refine the game before its official 1.0 launch. Importantly, the game will remain free to play – it won’t cost anything.
