Dispatch, The Superhero-Themed Choose-Your-Own-Adventure, Begins Episodic Release Next Month

Dispatch, a new superhero game where you make choices that affect the story, quickly gained attention when it was revealed at The Game Awards 2024. It’s made by developers formerly of Telltale Games and features well-known actors Aaron Paul (from Breaking Bad) and Jeffrey Wright (from Westworld). Today, AdHoc Studio announced that Dispatch will launch on PC and PlayStation 5 on October 22nd. The game will be released in eight episodes over four weeks, with two new episodes available each week.

The story of Dispatch centers around Robert Robertson, the former superhero Mecha Man. After losing his powerful suit to a shadowy villain named Shroud, Robertson finds a new job as a 911 dispatcher for other heroes. He now directs them to handle all sorts of emergencies, from stopping robberies to rescuing cats.

Over the course of the game’s eight episodes, you’ll play as Robertson, matching heroes to jobs that fit their personalities – the better the fit, the more successful they’ll be. You’ll also build relationships with these heroes through conversations and complete hacking and investigation minigames to help them succeed.

The cast of Dispatch includes Aaron Paul, Jeffrey Wright, Matt Mercer, Laura Bailey, Alanah Pearce, Seán William “Jacksepticeye” McLoughlin, and Charles Christopher “MoistCr1TiKaL” White Jr.

The first two episodes of Dispatch will be available on October 22nd for PlayStation 5 and PC. Buying the game once-any version-unlocks all eight episodes as they’re released. The Deluxe Edition comes with a digital artbook and four digital comics as well.
