Warren’s office safe is a tricky puzzle in REPLACED, and it’s hard to open without knowing the solution. If you’re stuck, here’s a guide on how to crack it.

Where is Warren’s Safe in REPLACED?

You’ll find this puzzle in Chapter 8 of REPLACED, inside Warren’s apartment. You’ll reach the apartment after finishing the missions on the streets of Phoenix-City.

The safe is hidden behind a large screen on the left side of the main room in Warren’s apartment – the same room where you heard Steven’s message. Examine the screen to make it slide away and reveal the safe. You’ll need to figure out the combination to open it and get the A.R.G.O. copy you need to continue the story.

How to Open Warren’s Safe in REPLACED

To unlock Warren’s safe in REPLACED, start by checking his computer in the apartment’s back room. You’ll find details about the safe and clues on how to open it there. While you’re at it, be sure to grab the ‘Stranger in the Mirror’ music collectible!

Use the computer to open the screen, then look at the ‘Safe Manual’ and ‘IN CASE OF MEMORY LOSS’ sections. These will explain how the safe works and give you a clue – it says you need to arrange ‘a taste, a sight, a sound’ in the order they happened.

You’ll find clues related to your senses hidden throughout the apartment. You can interact with them once you’ve read the files on the computer and discovered the wall safe.

The scene includes some distracting elements – like a potted plant and a scent – that aren’t relevant to solving the puzzle. Pay close attention to the details of each item, as key information will be emphasized in yellow (shown in bold below). Here’s what you should focus on:

  • Spice Cabinet – Best before April 1977 (Hint: Cayenne) – On a shelf in the kitchen area just to the left of the wall safe
  • Old Vinyl – Essential Hits ‘66 (Hint: Substitute) – On a small shelf near a red couch on the lower level of the center room on the right side
  • Faded Photo – Happy Birthday 12/10/1963 (Hint: Birthday) – On the right side of a long console table on the lower level of the center room.

After you collect the three items, go back to the wall safe and open it again. It will ask for a password, using the clue from the computer – “a taste, a sight, a sound, arranged in chronological order.” This means you need to enter the items in the order they happened.
