How to get new Minecraft crafting table cape

Minecraft lets you customize your character with tons of different skins, and capes are a great way to add even more personality. Here’s how to get the newest cape available.

Minecraft lets you truly make the game your own. You can build the ideal home on a great world seed, or customize your character to look like yourself or a character from a movie or game. But there’s another way to personalize your look: capes.

As a huge fan, I’m always excited when new capes come out in Minecraft! They’re often really hard to find, and some are super rare, so I always jump at the chance to get one when Mojang releases them. They just revealed a new one, and it’s awesome – it looks like you’re carrying a crafting table on your back! It’s probably just for looks, not a functional table, but still cool. Here’s the info on how to get it!

How to get the new Minecraft cape

As revealed by Mojang on X, you can get the Minecraft crafting table capes by either:

  • Heading to TwitchCon in person.
  • Watching your favorite creators.

We don’t have all the specifics yet, but based on what we’ve seen, it looks like this cape will be available as a Twitch Drop. That means you’ll need to watch Minecraft streamers who have Twitch Drops turned on to get it.

Everyone is welcome! You can earn a special badge in a couple of ways:

A second, limited-edition version will only be available to people attending TwitchCon in Rotterdam on May 30-31, 2026. There will probably be a Minecraft booth where you can pick it up.
