In Crimson Desert, Abyss Artifacts are key to improving your character. They boost stats, unlock skills, and enhance equipment. Because they’re so central to character progression, you’ll need to collect a large number of them to fully advance.
Abyss Artifacts are crucial for advancing in Crimson Desert, but they can be challenging to obtain. While collecting a large number of them takes effort, understanding the most efficient methods will save you time, reduce unnecessary exploration, and minimize overall hassle.
Having trouble finding Abyss Artifacts in Crimson Desert? This guide will show you the quickest and easiest ways to get them.
Clear Out Enemy Camps

A quick way to earn Abyss Artifacts is by defeating enemies and taking over their camps. As you defeat enemies in Crimson Desert, a yellow bar on your minimap will fill up. Once it’s full, you’ll receive an Abyss Artifact.
One of the quickest ways to gather Abyss Artifacts is by exploring the map and freeing camps and fortresses as you find them. The map conveniently marks camps that need liberating with red building icons, making them easy to spot.
When trying to fill your Abyss meter to get Artifacts, focus on defeating every enemy you can during story missions with waves of enemies. It’s tempting to rush to the next objective, but taking the time to clear out all enemies really pays off – I once earned four Abyss Artifacts from a single mission by doing this.
Complete Sealed Abyss Artifact Challenges
While playing Crimson Desert, you’ll discover Sealed Abyss Artifacts. These are located on small stone structures throughout the world and are shown as small purple icons on your minimap. Keep in mind that these purple icons will only appear when you’re close to an artifact.
When you find a Sealed Abyss Artifact, it starts a challenge. Successfully finishing the challenge gives you an Abyss Artifact as a reward. You can find these challenges under the “Challenges” tab in the Journal menu. They typically involve straightforward tasks like defeating enemies with a bow, riding a horse a certain distance, or quickly eliminating a specific number of foes.
After finishing each challenge, you can unlock the Sealed Abyss Artifact in your inventory to receive Abyss Artifacts. Because the challenges are generally simple and don’t take long, this is a fast way to collect them.
Complete Greymane Rumor Quests
While playing Crimson Desert, you’ll come across Greymane Rumor side quests automatically. These quests are quick and easy – you simply follow a lead to find lost teammates and return them to camp. All it takes is traveling to a marked spot and chatting with a character there.

Even though these quests are very easy, each one gives you an Abyss Artifact. That means it’s worth regularly checking the Faction Quests tab in your journal for new rumor quests, so you can collect more Abyss Artifacts quickly.
