Dean & Allie Are Emotional In Off Campus Season 2’s Intense First-Look Images

Off Campus season 2 is officially in production with Dean and Allie at the center.

Building on the popularity of hockey-themed romances like Crave and HBO Max’s Heated Rivalry, Prime Video is now offering its own adaptation. The first season of Off Campus is based on Ell Kennedy’s Off-Campus book series and covers the relationship between Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham from The Deal. However, instead of dedicating each season to a single book, the show’s creator, Louisa Levy, chose to weave together multiple storylines, also including the developing romance between Dean Di Laurentis and Allie Hayes.

I was so excited when Prime Video announced that Season 2 of Off Campus would be all about Stephen Kalyn and Mika Abdralla – their chemistry was incredible! I know Kennedy’s books have John and Grace’s story planned next, but we’ll have to wait until Season 3 for that. For now, Dean and Allie are taking center stage, and filming for the new season is officially underway, which is awesome!

First-look photos from season 2 of Off Campus have surfaced online (shared by Deuxmoi on Instagram), showing Dean and Allie together again after the dramatic ending of season one. The pictures depict a tense conversation between them happening outside what looks like a new location – possibly indicating a change in scenery for the show. Allie appears upset, while Dean seems to be questioning her about something. You can see the photos below.

The Prime Video series made significant changes to the story and how it’s told compared to Kennedy’s Off-Campus books. Instead of just introducing Dean and Allie’s relationship and then moving on, the show explores it right away, alongside Garrett and Hannah’s story, giving them more room to develop in season two. We can also anticipate seeing parts of Logan and Grace’s story, following the pattern established in the first season. As for Dean and Allie, their relationship will likely face more challenges than what was shown initially, mirroring events from the books.

A major death is expected to happen soon in Off Campus. Unlike Garrett’s storyline, which dealt with the past loss of his mother, this new event—involving Beau Maxwell—will be a completely new tragedy, potentially making it even more shocking and meaningful. Sadly, despite Khobe Clark’s great performance, this death is unavoidable, as it’s crucial for Dean’s development in season 2 of Off Campus.

Josh Heutson won’t be back as Justin Kohl in season 2 of Off Campus, as the show’s creator, Levy, has already stated. However, there’s a possibility he could return in future seasons, since his storyline isn’t fully resolved from the original books. While Prime Video hasn’t announced a release date yet, production is happening now, so we can likely expect the new season sometime in the first six months of 2027.
