Avail Data Availability Integrated by Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, StarkWare, ZkSync

I’ve observed several networks in the Ethereum ecosystem, such as Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, StarkWare, and zkSync. These platforms rely on a technology called “rollup networks” to process and store transaction data in an efficient manner. However, they require a data availability solution like Avail for stashing the vast amounts of data generated from all these transactions.

Avail has recently emerged into the spotlight alongside other developing Decentralized Finance (DeFi) projects, such as Celestia and Eigenlayer’s EigenDA, which have garnered significant attention over the last few months with their respective live protocol launches in October and earlier this month. While Avail’s decentralized application (DApp) is currently in testing phase, it is anticipated to become publicly available soon, as mentioned by Anurag Arjun, one of its co-founders.

Last week, Avail announced its plan for distributing tokens through an airdrop. One group of individuals who qualify for the AVAIL tokens are those who utilize rollups.

I’ve noticed that DA, or Decentralized Autonomous Organization, is closer to being production-ready than Nexus. The reason being, DA is scheduled for release in the near future. On the other hand, Nexus, which we currently have, is still under development. Our team is actively collaborating with other groups to seamlessly incorporate the Nexus component into the project.
