Apple TV+, the popular streaming service known for high-quality shows and movies like *Ted Lasso* and *Foundation*, is getting a new look. While many subscribers have been asking for this change since the service launched, the update might still be a little confusing.
Apple recently announced that Apple TV+ is now simply called Apple TV, giving the streaming service a fresh new look. Many users likely anticipated this change, as Apple has been using the shorter name to refer to its TV app for some time. However, the Apple TV app and the Apple TV streaming service will remain separate. While it’s unclear what other updates are planned, subscribers can expect further changes soon. This announcement comes after a recent price increase for the service, which still doesn’t offer an ad-supported option.
The racing movie *F1*, starring Brad Pitt and a big hit in theaters earlier this year, will be available to stream on Apple TV+ starting December 12th. The film, an Apple Original co-released with Warner Bros., had a successful run in cinemas. It will debut alongside other new Apple TV+ content, including the sci-fi series *Pluribus* from *Breaking Bad* creator Vince Gilligan, the second season of the comedy *Palm Royale*, and the action comedy sequel *The Family Plan*, starring Mark Wahlberg.
Is an ‘F1’ Sequel in the Works?

Warner Bros.
Apple hasn’t officially announced a sequel to *F1 The Movie* yet. However, given the film’s success and the cast and crew’s enthusiasm, another movie seems likely. Reports surfaced shortly after the film’s release about early sequel talks, but nothing firm materialized. Currently, there’s an interesting idea being considered: a storyline that would feature a rivalry between Brad Pitt’s character, Sonny Hayes, and Tom Cruise.
Joseph Kosinski, the director of *F1*, has expressed interest in including Cole Trickle, Tom Cruise’s character from the 1990 film *Days of Thunder*, in a potential sequel. The idea is that Trickle and Sonny Hayes have a history, which could lead to an epic race between the two. This is currently just a preliminary idea, but it gives a good sense of Kosinski’s vision for the *F1* sequel.
It turns out Cole Trickle, Tom Cruise’s character from *Days of Thunder*, and Brad Pitt’s Sonny Hayes used to be rivals. Apparently, they had a really competitive go-kart race during the filming of *Interview With the Vampire*, and it would be amazing to see those two compete against each other on a real racetrack.
