The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is one of the most successful movie franchises ever created. Even years after their release, the Harry Potter films – available on HBO Max – remain incredibly popular. The franchise has grown beyond the movies to include theme parks, video games, and stage productions. The play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, recently saw Tom Felton return to his role as Draco Malfoy on Broadway, and his former on-screen father, Jason Isaacs, was there to support him – photos confirm it!
As a huge Harry Potter fan, I was so excited to hear Tom Felton was reprising his role as Draco Malfoy – but as an adult, with kids, in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on stage! Naturally, everyone wondered which other original cast members would come support him on Broadway, and Jason Isaacs was one of the first. He shared some fantastic photos of the two of them together on his Instagram, which I immediately checked out!

Isn’t that lovely? Isaacs often expresses how much he admires Tom Felton, so it’s not a shock he went to Broadway to see him reprise his role as Draco Malfoy. The pictures of them together are incredibly sweet – even dedicated Slytherin fans are loving it! It’s a truly heartwarming moment, like seeing a father beam with pride.
Tom Felton and Oliver Isaacs shared a series of photos on Instagram with Isaacs’ 1 million followers. The pictures show the two actors together, both while filming and in casual settings. It’s clear they have a strong connection and have remained close friends long after filming the Harry Potter movies, forming a lasting friendship.

HBO Max subscriptions begin at $10.99 per month and offer access to a vast library of movies, shows, documentaries, and the entire Harry Potter collection. You can find more details and sign up here.
Harry Potter and The Cursed Child picks up after the events of the original series, with Harry, Ron, and Hermione now grown up and raising families. The story mainly follows Harry’s son, Albus, and Draco Malfoy’s son, Scorpius, as they become friends and embark on a magical adventure that takes them through different versions of the Wizarding World. Familiar faces like adult Hermione, Ron, and Ginny also make appearances along the way.
Since the stage play Cursed Child came out, fans have been hoping to see a movie version with the original actors. While some cast members have said they’d be interested in returning, Tom Felton previously seemed unsure. However, his recent experience playing Draco Malfoy on Broadway has made the idea feel more possible.

Warner Bros. hasn’t shown any signs of making a movie based on Cursed Child. Instead, they’re focusing on a Harry Potter TV series. The first season is currently being filmed, and fans are excited that the show will include more details from the books that weren’t in the films.
You can currently watch the Wizarding World films on HBO Max, and Tom Felton is performing in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child until May 10th. I’m hoping they’ll make a movie version of the play someday.
