Woman sets up “dog kissing booth” outside her home

A woman in Massachusetts is offering kisses from her golden retriever at a special booth she’s created right outside her house! People walking by can stop and give the friendly dog some affection.

Haley Scott lives in Waltham, Massachusetts, with her three-year-old golden retriever, Driver. Her house is located in the lively downtown area of the city.

Scott realized her puppy, Driver, really enjoyed watching people from the window – she called it his “street TV.” Because of this, she created a fun kissing booth so Driver could say hello to everyone walking by.

How the kissing booth works

According to NBC Boston, Scott says she’ll often offer free kisses from her dog, Driver, to anyone passing by when she’s relaxing at home – essentially turning her house into a temporary ‘kissing booth’.

The owner is happy to receive treats for Driver. She invites visitors to give him one, but asks that people limit it to a single treat as he’s trying to stay in shape.

Golden retrievers are well-known for being very friendly, which makes them popular choices as therapy dogs. According to Annie Farrell, someone who regularly benefits from these dogs, “People really need the happiness and unwavering affection that a golden retriever can give.”

Scott named her dog after her late father, a truck driver. She says she created the booth hoping to brighten up the neighborhood.

She explained that the fun of it is not knowing where he’ll be. More importantly, she does this to bring joy to others, and encourages anyone who enjoyed it to spread happiness by doing something nice for someone else.
