Many American children first experienced the fun of Samurai Pizza Cats in the 1990s. This show became much more popular than the original Japanese version and has become a classic for fans. Now, the series is making a comeback with a new collectible figure that’s extra fluffy!
Bellfine is creating a new set of figures based on the characters Yattarou and Toritsukkun from the anime Kyatto Ninden Teyandee (known as Speedy Cerviche and Goonie Bird in the English dub). These figures are incredibly detailed and poseable, bringing the beloved ‘90s anime to life. With multiple facial expressions and other classic elements, they’re a fantastic and adorable way to relive some anime nostalgia.
Samurai Pizza Cats Delivers Again in Newest Nostalgic Collectible

Bellfine has created figures of Yattarou and Toritsukkun that perfectly capture the look of Speedy Cerviche and Goonie Bird, just as fans remember them. The figures have a unique, almost cel-shaded style that really brings their personalities to life. Speedy, standing around 4.5 inches tall, is shown in his mechanical ninja suit and comes with several accessories to help him battle enemies in Little Tokyo. These include five different hands, two swords, and a shuriken he can hold as if preparing to throw.
The figure includes nine different faceplates, letting you pose him with expressions ranging from smiles and grimaces to a full armored look. These expressions perfectly capture his range of emotions from the anime, and combined with the figure’s great poseability, it’s easy to recreate favorite scenes. And of course, no Little Tokyo defense team is complete without Goonie Bird, who’s just as useful in this collectible set.
Goonie Bird is a small, 4.3-inch tall robotic bird with mechanical feet and a funny face. It can combine with the character Speedy to create samurai armor, upgrading Speedy’s existing armor and adding wings. This idea of transforming animal armor is similar to what’s seen in anime like Saint Seiya and Samurai Troopers, both of which were parodied by Samurai Pizza Cats, particularly in the English dub.
I’m really excited about the new model kit set! What’s especially cool is that the box art is being done by Noritaka Suzuki, who actually worked on the original series. You can pre-order it internationally right now for around $80 from places like Jump Ichiban, and they’re expecting to ship it out to fans around August 2026.
