Comedian and YouTuber Druski just dropped a new skit – and it’s his most elaborate one so far. It playfully pokes fun at British actors trying their hand at American movie roles.
The comedy sketch, shared on Druski’s social media, features a made-up British actor named Sampson DuBois playing roles in several Hollywood movies.
The video became popular online because of its over-the-top sets, pretend award show moments, and fake interviews, all of which made it look surprisingly like a real movie trailer.
The sketch begins with DuBois filming a movie set in the time of slavery, called “Release the Shackles.” The director tells him to portray the character with more stereotypical traits of an enslaved person.

The sketch continues with the character giving interviews to entertainment media, discussing their growth as a person and how they perfected their American accent. These scenes are filmed like real Hollywood events, complete with red carpets and a large cast of supporting actors.
Druski strongly suggests his new comedy sketch is based on British actor Damson Idris, sharing a picture of Idris on Instagram and hinting at the inspiration with the caption, “New skit.”

How much did Druski’s latest skit cost?
While the exact cost isn’t known, making the skit likely involved significant expenses. Between building sets, filming, costumes, makeup, and paying the actors and extras, the total could easily reach over a million dollars – all for a video that’s just under two minutes long.
The sketch concludes with a mock interview, done in the style of TMZ, where the actor is asked if he believes he’s superior to others.
“Better than who, bruv?” the character responds. “Black people? Stop it!”
The video went viral and received a lot of positive feedback, with many people impressed by its high production quality. Viewers said it felt more like a complete comedy film than a typical social media video.
One person said the skits are incredibly well-made. Another joked that Druski deserves a larger film budget, and might even challenge Tyler Perry’s position in the industry.
The video has already been viewed over 40 million times on X and Instagram in just 12 hours. It’s also nearing one million views on YouTube Shorts.
