Battlefield 6 now lets players buy the next battle pass in advance, even before they know what cosmetic items it will include.
Okay, so Battlefield 6 actually started out pretty well, getting good reviews and all. But honestly, it’s been tough going since then. I’ve noticed way fewer people playing, and even the new battle royale mode, Redsec, hasn’t really brought the player base back up. It’s a shame, because I was really hoping it would.
Over the past few months, the game developers have been working to improve the shooter based on player feedback, adding new maps and a server browser.
As Season 3 approaches, EA is now letting players pre-order the new battle pass.
BF6 asks players to buy Season 3 battle pass before it’s revealed
The new Season 3 update launches on May 12th, and includes a battle pass with fresh items. Players recently received a notification offering them the option to purchase the battle pass before the official release.
Signing up for the new Battle Pass now doesn’t change the cost. It’s still 1,100 Battlefield Coins for the regular version, or $24.99 for Battlefield Pro. The Pro version includes the Battle Pass, skips 25 tiers, and gives you special cosmetic items.

If you purchase the game early, you’ll get a few extra boosts to help you progress. The standard edition includes a free “Verdant” Weapon Package for the L110, while the Pro version comes with the Cobra Fang P18. Plus, buying either edition now automatically unlocks the Season 3 battle pass when it releases.
Players have been pre-ordering full video games for years, but it’s unusual to be asked to pay for a battle pass – which mostly includes cosmetic items – before knowing what’s inside.
This will likely appeal most to dedicated Battlefield fans who already plan to purchase the battle pass and fully unlock its content. Pre-ordering isn’t really worth it unless you’re eager to get the bonus weapon skins.
