Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel responded to Twitch CEO Dan Clancy after being excluded from Clancy’s list of the top four streamers – his “streamer Mount Rushmore.” Lengyel argues that he was a leader in creating many of the popular styles of streaming we see today.
Twitch CEO Dan Clancy joined Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 stream to celebrate Cenat reaching one million subscribers. While chatting, Cenat asked Clancy to name his “streamer Mount Rushmore” – his picks for the four most influential streamers. Clancy chose Kai, Ninja, Pokimane, and CohCarnage. He initially mentioned iShowSpeed, but then decided to replace him with Coh.
The clip rapidly gained attention online, because Clancy’s selections didn’t include several important people from Twitch’s past. Streamers such as Reckful and Sodapoppin are widely recognized for helping to create the platform’s initial culture and for being early innovators of IRL and full-camera streams, which eventually became common features of the streaming world.

During his own stream on Kick, xQc disagreed with Clancy’s list, stating that the foundations of today’s streaming were established well before the people listed were active.
He explained that without Reckful and the time when Sodapoppin was popular, things would have developed much later. He stated, , because those earlier streamers-the ones I just mentioned-really pioneered that. Without their influence, we’d still be in the dark ages of streaming.”
He continued, saying: “I struggled immensely. I walked, I even… you know what, I did everything I could so others could succeed. It wasn’t just about crawling; I crawled and walked to make it possible for people to run.”
The video has become very popular, leading to discussions among fans about who the most important streamers on Twitch are – who would be on a “Mount Rushmore” of streaming. While Clancy focused on current stars, xQc mentioned how earlier streamers were pioneers and greatly shaped the way we see streaming today.
