Finding the Range & Rifle magazines serves two equally important purposes in Gray Zone Warfare.
In the harsh jungles of Lamang, you either adapt and thrive, or you fall behind. Showing up to a fight at Fort Narith with basic equipment is a sure way to lose.
The enemies in this game aren’t just reacting to your fear – they can also tell if your gear looks good. If you prefer fighting in dense jungles, choosing a weapon with camouflage will give you a significant advantage over standard colors, particularly if it matches the rest of your equipment.
Besides the enjoyment of collecting them, finding Range & Rifle magazines also helps you avoid the repetitive task of leveling up your relationships with in-game vendors.
Once you earn a weapon through the Range & Rifle challenges, you can use it right away, no matter your relationship with the traders. This also applies to magazines – you can purchase the larger-capacity versions unlocked through the Range & Rifle challenges at any time, even if you’re still using the weapon’s original parts.
If you find the Black Hawk M14 in Hunter’s Paradise, you’ll be able to buy 20-round magazines from Banshee right away, even though you usually need to reach level 3 before you can get those types of magazines. This early access can make a weapon really useful and frequently used, instead of something that just sits in your storage.
All Range & Rifle Magazine Locations

Okay, so I’ve mapped out where all the Range & Rifle magazines are hidden, and I’m sharing exactly how to get into each area to grab them. It’s gonna save you a ton of searching!
Okay, so here’s the deal with those Range & Rifle magazines: if I die, any quest I’m doing with them basically restarts. And after that, I have to wait a little bit before I can even grab another one – there’s a cooldown period, so I can’t just spam pick them up right away.
If you die while trying to get a specific weapon that’s showing as ‘Failed’ in the task list, wait an hour and then do other quests in that same area. The game should eventually refresh the area and make the weapon you need available again.
If you’re starting the Range & Rifle quest over, you can delay accepting it until you get to the magazine area. This prevents it from going on cooldown if you happen to die while traveling there.
Hunter’s Paradise
M14 (Black Hawk)
| Trader | Banshee |
|---|---|
| Magazine Capacity | 20 rounds |
| Caliber | 7.62x51mm NATO |
| Price | $8.5k |
You can find a green camouflage M14 with a 16-inch barrel, a 20-round magazine, and a Specter DR sight by reading a Range & Rifle magazine in the Weapon Storage room at Hunter’s Paradise.
The magazine is on a bench next to the locker on the northwestern corner of the room.
You’ll need the Hunter’s Paradise Weapon Storage Key (HP Wep) to open this area. You can find it in a fixed location at either the eastern offices or the southern restaurant in Hunter’s Paradise. It also sometimes appears as a random item carried by enemies in the area.
Midnight Sapphire
SIG MCX (Ghost Nomad)
| Trader | Banshee |
|---|---|
| Magazine Capacity | 60 rounds |
| Caliber | .300 Blackout |
| Price | $13.2k |
The first custom weapon you should get in Midnight Sapphire is the Ghost Nomad SIG MCX.
Okay, so I was looking for that Range & Rifle magazine, and I finally found it. It’s on a table in the little area just before the restaurant on the second floor of the Midnight Sapphire. Basically, you go up to the second floor, and it’s right there before you get to the restaurant.
From the reception area, take the stairs and turn right. You’ll see a table with magazines surrounded by comfortable armchairs on your left.
M700 (Gray Company)
| Trader | Banshee |
|---|---|
| Magazine Capacity | 10 rounds |
| Caliber | 7.62x51mm NATO |
| Price | $11.8k |
It makes sense that the Range & Rifle magazine needed to unlock the camouflaged M700 is located on the roof, where the LAF snipers are stationed.
Take the service stairs up, and then turn to face generally south-southeast. Walk forward until you reach the guard rail. Look to your left – you should see a small camping table with an ashtray, and the magazine you’re looking for will be there.
Ban Pa
AKMN (Jackal Company)
| Trader | Artisan |
|---|---|
| Magazine Capacity | 30 rounds |
| Caliber | 7.62x39mm |
| Price | $5.7k |
The only weapon with camouflage available in the Ban Pa region is also the most affordable one in the game.
You’ll find it in a hut to the northwest of Landing Zone Oscar 2. While only a few pirates guard the area, be very careful approaching – the paths to the hut are filled with traps.
The hut’s door is locked, but you can force it open with a kick. A magazine rests on the floor beside a sleeping bag.
Tiger Bay
MP7A2 (Sentinel Company)
| Trader | Banshee |
|---|---|
| Magazine Capacity | 40 rounds |
| Caliber | 4.6x30mm |
| Price | $6.4k |
Here’s a fast method to get the top close-quarters combat weapon in the game, and it’s great because it already includes a silencer and extended magazines at a reasonable cost.
You can find the Range & Rifle magazine needed for the Sentinel Company MP7A2 near a campsite. It’s just west of landing zone Juliett 4, right beside COP Gladius.
After dealing with the bandits to the south, check the covered building on your left. You’ll find the magazine on the couch against the west wall.
SVD (Silent Watch)
| Trader | Artisan |
|---|---|
| Magazine Capacity | 20 rounds |
| Caliber | 7.62x54mmR |
| Price | $18.2k |
The Silent Watch SVD is probably the most difficult item to locate, because the Tiger Bay Mall is a very crowded and fiercely fought-over area in the game.
You’ll find Range & Rifle magazine on the first floor of the mall, in the southern section along the eastern row of shops. If you’re entering from the west, head towards the Lamtel sign and the store is just to its left. There are usually one or two LAF soldiers inside.
Go behind the counter, enter the door on the right, and turn left to find a small office. You’ll find the magazine on a bookshelf beside the picture frame.
YBL-1
Mossberg 590 (Raven Team)
| Trader | Gunny |
|---|---|
| Magazine Capacity | 10 shells |
| Caliber | 12/70 |
| Price | $6.5k |
Gunny’s Mossberg 590 shotgun, with its unique Raven Team camouflage, is likely the hardest item to obtain in the entire game.

Go to either landing zone Lima 2 or Mike 3, which are both south of COP Titan. From there, follow the river south until you reach a small wooden bridge.
Head west across the bridge and you’ll find a small camp. The magazine is inside a hut directly south of the bridge, resting on a little wooden desk.
Fort Narith
AK-308 (Hunter Team)
| Trader | Vulture |
|---|---|
| Magazine Capacity | 20 rounds |
| Caliber | 7.62x51mm NATO |
| Price | $17.8k |
The AK-308 is a top-tier weapon in the game, but it can be hard to find. Luckily, you can quickly obtain one by visiting Fort Narith Air Base – often called Lamang’s Disneyland.
You can find the Range & Rifle magazine needed to unlock the door in the brig, which is located between the infirmary, the main entrance, and the HQ building.
From what I’ve seen, the best way in is to climb the fence at the northwest corner of the runway and then head to the road that leads to the building you’re after. Be prepared for gunfire from the armory – usually two guards near a truck. The guardhouse typically has one guard inside and two more stationed by the tent outside.
Go through the entrance, then turn left and continue heading left until you find a locked door. Break the door open. Inside, the Range & Rifle magazine is on the floor to the left of the door, underneath the coffee machine.
As a fellow trader, I’ve learned Vulture isn’t always easy to find! He doesn’t show up at every COP, only the big ones. Honestly, I used to waste so much time running around, but thankfully someone made a Vulture tracker – DamnitBennet’s is the best, it really helps you know where he is!
DDM4 (Phantom Lance)
| Trader | Gunny |
|---|---|
| Magazine Capacity | 60 rounds |
| Caliber | 5.56x45mm NATO |
| Price | $17k |
You can find the plans for the camouflaged AR-15 inside the Alpha barracks at Fort Narith. It’s the southernmost barracks building, across from the infirmary. Be prepared to face up to five enemies, with three of them on the second floor. Also, watch out for soldiers shooting at you from other buildings – it’s best to avoid the windows.
Once you’re inside the Alpha barracks, go up the stairs and turn left. Walk to the end of the hallway – you’ll find the desk with the Range & Rifle magazine near the door to room A206.
