PlayStation Plus has recently expanded its game library with several new additions, including popular titles like The Crew Motorfest, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, Football Manager 26 Console, Warriors: Abyss, Squirrel with a Gun, The Casting of Frank Stone, and Monster Train. These games offer a variety of experiences, with titles like The Casting of Frank Stone featuring unique choice-driven gameplay.
This month, PlayStation Plus’ Game Catalog is adding one particularly noteworthy game, especially for fans of PlayStation’s biggest titles. It’s a well-known classic, and its addition is timely, as a new game in the same series is coming out soon.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered Arrives On PS Plus Game Catalog
If you haven’t already, now’s a great time to subscribe to PlayStation Plus! The popular game Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is now available in the PS Plus Game Catalog. While the original Horizon Zero Dawn came out nearly a decade ago, this updated version keeps it fresh, especially with a multiplayer spin-off, Horizon Hunters Gathering, and a movie in the works.
While the visual changes aren’t as dramatic as the remake of The Last of Us, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is a clear upgrade. It now features the beautiful, modern graphics from Horizon Forbidden West, includes over 10 hours of new character animations, and offers numerous other improvements. That makes its addition to the PS Plus Game Catalog on April 21st, less than two years after its original release, a real bonus for players.
Horizon Hunters Gathering Is Right Around The Corner
PlayStation’s new game, Horizon Hunters Gathering, is a ‘live service’ title – meaning it’s designed to be continuously updated and played over a long period. It remains to be seen how well it will do, but the Horizon series, created by Guerrilla Games, seems like a good fit for this type of game. Its open world, story, and focus on hunting large creatures are already very similar to the popular Monster Hunter games, making the transition to multiplayer feel natural.
A limited beta test for the game took place in late February, and another test might happen before the full release of Horizon Hunters Gathering. Currently, there’s no confirmed release date, but it’s listed as “Coming soon.”
Whether you’re excited for Horizon Hunters Gathering or just want to brush up on the story and gameplay of the Horizon series, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered on PlayStation Plus’s Game Catalog is a great choice.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is available now on PC and PS5.
