Dragon Ball FighterZ pros pull off insane mirror match intro during tournament

Okay, so I was watching SonicFox and GO1 play in this tournament, and seriously, the crowd went WILD! They did this insane move right at the beginning of the match – a perfect mirror – and it was just unbelievably timed. Everyone, including the commentators, totally lost it!

Two popular and friendly rivals faced off in the Dragon Ball FighterZ Masters Showdown tournament in Los Angeles on April 19th.

It’s unknown if the players intentionally planned the match’s impressive start, but the flawless timing needed for such a display was remarkable and quickly became a viral sensation.

SonicFox posted a video of the match on his YouTube channel. It was from the first round of their competition.

Both players started with a flawless, coordinated series of attacks using their Base Vegeta characters before the main match began.

To understand how impressive this is, Dragon Ball FighterZ has a feature called ‘Clash’. When both players attack at almost the same moment, it cancels out the damage they would have normally taken.

Successfully completing that maneuver twenty times consecutively while coordinating with a teammate demands incredibly accurate timing. Ultimately, GO1 won the match.

SonixFox and GO1 have competed against each other on stage many times before. They each won at the EVO Grand Finals – SonixFox in 2018 and GO1 in 2019.

Both players are skilled in many fighting games, but SonicFox is especially famous for being a top competitor in Mortal Kombat. In 2025, he left a tournament for the game MK1 during the finals because of problems with the event’s production.
