Okay, so CinemaCon 2026 is wrapping up today, and Paramount had the closing presentation. As a movie lover, I always get excited about CinemaCon – it’s basically where all the theater owners and studio heads meet to talk about what’s coming to the big screen. Amazon MGM Studios had a great panel yesterday, closing out Day 3, but today – the last day – promised even more announcements. I’m hoping for some really exciting reveals!
CinemaCon 2026 continues on Thursday, April 16th with a presentation from Paramount Pictures. The panel will take place in Las Vegas from 9:45 to 11:30 a.m. Pacific Time (12:45 – 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time).
At its 2025 CinemaCon presentation, Paramount previewed several upcoming films, including Edgar Wright’s The Running Man, Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie, and the highly anticipated comedy The Naked Gun. The presentation ended with a first look at Tom Cruise’s latest and reportedly final Mission: Impossible film, Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning, which premiered in July 2025.
This year, animated films are predicted to be a major focus, with highlights including the new Avatar: The Last Airbender movie. Originally planned for cinemas, it’s now set to premiere on Paramount+ in October and stars Steven Yeun, Dave Bautista, Taika Waititi, and Ke Huy Quan. We might also get a look at Angry Birds 3, featuring fresh voices from Emma Myers, Keke Palmer, Tim Robinson, and Walker Scobell.
The popular comedy series Scary Movie, created by the Wayans family, might be getting a reboot with a new film planned for June 5, 2026. Paramount is also considering showcasing updates on other projects like Street Fighter, Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol, and Sonic the Hedgehog 4.
