Haliey Welch, known from ‘Hawk Tuah,’ is transitioning to Twitch. She explained that managing her podcast, ‘Talk Tuah,’ had become overwhelming.
Welch initially gained online recognition in 2024 after a popular street interview on TikTok went viral. During the interview, she created her well-known phrase, ‘Hawk Tuah’.
The attention that followed was incredibly strong. The phrase ‘Hawk Tuah’ quickly spread across all social media platforms, and soon she was connecting with other popular internet personalities, such as Jake Paul. He even helped Welch start her own podcast, called ‘Talk Tuah.’
Becoming famous isn’t always easy, and Emily Welch faced trouble after releasing a cryptocurrency called $Hawk in December 2024, which immediately caused concern. Investors filed a lawsuit, and Welch assured them she would work to recover their funds.

After the controversy, Welch stopped posting online. She briefly revived her podcast in April 2025, but then became inactive again in May (though she continues to share photos on Instagram).
It’s been four months since a new episode of her Talk Tuah series was posted on YouTube. However, she unexpectedly appeared in Glen Powell’s comedy series ‘Chad Powers’ on September 29th, and she discussed it recently in an interview with People magazine.
Haliey Welch joins Twitch with new show
According to the interview, Welch was extremely pleased to be asked to join Powell’s project, especially since she’s currently going through a significant change with her own show.
Welch explained that running her ‘Talk Tuah’ podcast became overwhelming due to the logistical challenges. She shared that she was frequently traveling back and forth between Tennessee and California to record episodes with various guests.
“It wasn’t fun anymore, so we’re going to try something different,” she told the outlet.
I’m so excited to hear that Welch is going to Twitch! She announced that her new channel will be called Talk Tuah LIVE, and I love that she’ll be able to chat with us directly through Twitch chat. It sounds like she really wants to connect with fans and build a closer community, which is awesome! I can’t wait to tune in and check it out.
TopMob discovered her official channel, but it hadn’t launched yet as of September 30, 2025. In the channel description, Welch simply stated, “Coming soon,” without providing any further details. Instead of being called ‘Talk Tuah LIVE,’ the channel’s name is consistent with her other online profiles, and it is officially partnered with Twitch.
Welch also discussed the crypto controversy that happened before this decision, stating, “People are allowed to have their own thoughts, and some of them are actually quite amusing, so I don’t feel any anger about it.”
“I think people overestimate my role in that,” she went on. “Honestly, do you think I could have managed that? I’d absolutely warn my younger self to be cautious about who you trust and really think twice before signing anything, for certain. That’s just how I am – I tend to trust people until they prove me wrong, and it usually backfires,” she said.
The SEC investigated the cryptocurrency situation involving Welch, but they ended the case in May 2025. According to Haliley’s lawyer, the SEC didn’t find any wrongdoing by her and didn’t request any financial penalties – they closed the investigation “without making any findings against, or seeking any monetary sanctions from” Haliley.
