HBO’s Harry Potter TV show was just accidentally spoiled by an unlikely suspect: Apple Maps.
The new TV series will dedicate an entire season to each book in the series. This approach will allow for a more detailed and accurate adaptation than the previous movies, which had to fit each story into just two hours.
With the upcoming HBO series, there’s been a lot of guessing about who will play Voldemort in the new Harry Potter adaptation. Recently, both Cillian Murphy and Paul Bettany have stated they won’t be taking on the role of the iconic villain.
Fans are curious about how the new show will recreate famous places from the movies, such as Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, and the Ministry of Magic. Now, a significant spoiler has unexpectedly appeared online through Apple Maps.
Apple Maps reveals Diagon Alley and Gringotts Bank in HBO’s Harry Potter TV show
Fans spotted a sneak peek of Diagon Alley and Gringotts Bank from the upcoming Harry Potter TV series thanks to an accidental reveal on Apple Maps. Screenshots quickly spread across X (formerly Twitter).
A first look at the Gringotts Wizarding Bank set for the upcoming Harry Potter TV series has emerged! Thanks to Apple Maps, fans have spotted the Diagon Alley set, with Gringotts being the most prominent feature. A Reddit user, Abject_Lion_7435, first brought this to our attention.

Filming for the show is taking place at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the UK, and recent photos from Apple Maps reveal a recreated, old-fashioned street set, much like the one viewers loved in the films. While the building designed as Gringotts Bank looks different from the movie version, it still features prominent white columns at the entrance.
The Diagon Alley set is incredibly large, showing that HBO is investing heavily in the show. This also makes you wonder if they plan to leave the set up for future seasons, considering how important Diagon Alley is to the story and how often it appears in the books.
Considering the size of the Diagon Alley and Gringotts Bank set, Warner Bros. and HBO might decide to reuse it for future projects. Rebuilding such a detailed set would take a lot of time and effort, so it’s likely to stay in place for a while.
