Ubisoft is bringing Assassin’s Creed to life in a new way – as a live theatre show! It’s not a new video game or film, but a stage production based on the popular series.
Fans of Assassin’s Creed have a lot to look forward to! Not only is a remake of Black Flag launching on July 9th, with whispers of a remake for the very first game, but a brand new installment has also been confirmed for 2026 – and it’s unlike anything seen before in the series.
On May 5th, Ubisoft announced Heredis, a live stage show based on the world of Assassin’s Creed. The show combines impressive acrobatics, parkour stunts, theatrical performance, and historical elements to create a unique and exciting experience.
Heredis brings Assassin’s Creed to the stage for the first time
The new show centers around Naël, a young man whose father vanishes under mysterious circumstances. This leads him to join a program with the ability to send people back in time.
The website describes how, on his 25th birthday, a strange letter pulls Naël into the HEREDIS program. Along with his friends, he must complete challenges throughout history in order to discover what happened to his father.
Get ready for The Creed! Heredis, a brand new live show based on the world of Assassin’s Creed, is debuting in Montreal. This exciting performance combines the talents of artists, actors, and dancers in a breathtaking acrobatic spectacle.

This new story is completely original, drawing inspiration from the established world and ideas of the franchise, but you don’t need to have played the games to understand it. Still, longtime fans will find lots of familiar details and nods to the past.
Not much is currently known about this new project, or how it will relate to the Templars and the Animus – elements that have been central to almost all of the previous games.
Heredis will debut in Montreal on December 3, 2026, followed by a performance in Paris on January 21, 2027. Tickets are available for purchase now. The show is performed in French, and it’s currently unknown if it will be staged in other countries in the future.
This should keep fans happy for now, as Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has also announced that several new Assassin’s Creed games are currently being developed.
