A homeowner in Ellenboro, North Carolina, got quite a surprise when a large pig wandered into their house. It was much bigger than a typical rat!
The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office reports that a pig walked into a home on February 16th and boldly demanded a treat from the owners, showing no fear at all.

Someone in Ellenboro got a surprising visitor – a pig wandered into their house! The pig wasn’t scared at all and seemed very confident, apparently on a mission to find some food, according to a Facebook post.
After a brief standoff involving crackers and some unusual bargaining, deputies successfully talked the suspect into surrendering.
She was arrested peacefully and taken to Rutherford County Animal Control, which is run by Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue.
Police helped return a pig to its owner after catching it outside of its yard. The owner was very grateful, saying, “I really appreciate you catching her! She’s never gotten out before.”
The officers found the situation amusing. They noted that community policing isn’t always about urgent calls and emergencies. Sometimes, it’s as simple as catching a pig that wandered into someone’s property.
In North Carolina, police encountered a 12-year-old boy driving himself to school because he’d missed his bus.
