Tubbo recently shared that he was the target of a ‘swatting’ incident while live streaming in Brighton. This means someone falsely reported a serious emergency to the police, which could have had dangerous results, and he has confirmed the report was fake.
In a video called “i was swatted (serious),” Tubbo shared that he was targeted by a swatting prank while livestreaming a pub crawl with friends. They were dressed in costumes and visiting different bars in Brighton at the time.
Everything was going great with the stream – we were just hanging out, being respectful of other people, and not filming anyone else. But then things got a little crazy at our fourth location of the night, totally out of the blue!
Tubbo swatted during IRL pub crawl stream
Tubbo explained that while they were on a rooftop terrace, security started paying close attention to their group. He first thought this meant they were going to be asked to stop streaming from inside the building.
Just after the group started dancing, several police officers came into the bar and went straight for them. Officers immediately handcuffed one person, Bilzo, and pulled him away, which caused the person broadcasting the event to stop the livestream.
The group discovered that Sussex Police had received a false report claiming Bilzo – who is easily recognized because of his distinctive look and outfit – was carrying a knife and drugs. He emphasized that these claims were entirely false, and Bilzo was released when officers found no evidence to support them.
Tubbo explained that someone made a really inappropriate and not funny prank call to the police, which caused significant problems. He said although he tried to tell the story lightheartedly, the actual event was quite scary.
The swatting takes place at around 2:23:00 in the broadcast
He stated that the police agreed the call was a hoax and that everyone in the group was innocent.
The pub crawl stream took place on January 31, 2026.
Thankfully, everyone was unharmed, but the incident highlighted how dangerous swatting is – for both the people being targeted and the police who respond. Moving forward, the streamer plans to be more careful about sharing locations live during outdoor broadcasts, especially in crowded places.
