Netflix and LEGO are teaming up to bring the popular animated series KPop Demon Hunters to life as LEGO sets, which will be released later this year.
LEGO revealed on Instagram that the first set based on the movie’s creature, Derpy, will be released in summer 2026, with additional sets coming in 2027.
This news follows the film’s continued success, with strong viewership numbers and popular music reaching new heights since it was released last June.
First set focuses on Derpy with more planned for 2027
The company says this first set is made for kids ages 9 and up and can be used for both playing and putting on display. They’re already working on more sets for 2027 that will add to the LEGO KPop Demon Hunters collection with new characters and builds.
Lena Dixen, SVP, Product Group, Core Businesses at The LEGO Group, said:
We’re incredibly excited to announce this new partnership! Fans of KPop Demon Hunters and LEGO will now be able to combine their interests and experience the KPop Demon Hunters universe through LEGO sets. Netflix’s Chief Marketing Officer, Marian Lee, announced they’re excited to team up with LEGO to create a new line of detailed sets inspired by the hugely popular show, KPop Demon Hunters. This collaboration aims to bring the show’s world to life for fans both at home and beyond the screen.
Since its release last June, the K-Pop movie Demon Hunters has become a huge hit on Netflix, racking up over 500 million views. The film centers around the popular K-pop group HUNTR/X, who secretly fight demons and protect their fans while also maintaining their successful music careers. Their rivals, the boy band Saja Boys, are revealed to be demons themselves, adding to the conflict.
The film’s music, especially the song “Golden,” has been a huge hit. It stayed at number one on the UK Singles Chart for ten weeks and topped the Billboard Hot 100, making HUNTR/X the first K-pop girl group to reach that achievement. That same weekend, “Golden” also made history as the first K-pop song to win a Grammy Award.
