After years in development starting in 2012, Escape from Tarkov officially launched in November, moving out of its early access phase. Now that the full game is available, a player has successfully completed it and shared footage as proof.
Battlestate Games has recognized a streamer known as Tigz as the first player to successfully complete an escape from Tarkov in their popular first-person shooter game. The developers shared a congratulatory message on Instagram, saying, “Congratulations to Tigz on being the first to Escape From Tarkov. You survived. But at what cost?”

Tigz posted a video showing how he successfully escaped from Tarkov. If you’re interested in seeing the escape itself, fast forward to 43 minutes into the video.
Players have only been able to complete the game’s ending since it officially released last month. However, finishing it is quite challenging – each try costs $5 million in the game, and the final mission seems extremely difficult.
Very few players have managed to successfully complete the main goal in Escape from Tarkov, like Tigz did. While the game has several different ways to finish, Tsukinogi is known as the first player to achieve the best possible ending and escape.

As a long-time fan, I was pretty frustrated to learn that if you bought Escape from Tarkov before it hit Steam, you basically have to buy it again. It gets even more complicated because Battlestate Games released a special “Edge of Darkness” edition for $150, promising all future updates. But then they unexpectedly split things up and released Escape from Tarkov: Arena, making the original PvE game a separate $250 purchase! Fans were not happy, and Battlestate Games actually apologized, promising those who bought Edge of Darkness would get access to the PvE mode after all.
