It’s unusual for obsessive fans to take things to such extremes, but actor Glen Powell shared a bizarre story during The Hollywood Reporter‘s Comedy Actor Roundtable. He described a woman in London who has been printing out his picture daily and, incredibly, eating it. She’s been doing this for 80 days, hoping he’ll give her a role in a movie. Powell recounted the story with a tone that made it sound like he was sharing a particularly disturbing experience, similar to a war veteran telling a harrowing tale.
Monique, known online as @mynameismonique, gained notoriety for… well, eating a printout of actor Powell’s face. She hadn’t yet appeared in any of his films, but after 140 days of this unusual habit, she stopped at the premiere of Running Man in November 2025, dramatically eating his face printout right in front of him. In a video from the event, Powell appears gracious, playfully saying, “Now it’s a premiere!” after she takes a bite. However, he later admitted he was caught off guard. He explained that he only learned about Monique’s habit while walking the red carpet. “Someone told me ‘the girl who eats your face is here,’ and I had no idea what they were talking about!” he said.
Zach Braff was really shocked by the story and questioned how the person involved was allowed access to the red carpet. Janina Powell, who was also present, related to the situation, saying she’d warned others about the potential risks. She offered to share video footage of the incident with the group after the interview. Zach Braff expressed interest in seeing the footage, but the situation also raised a humorous concern about personal safety – a playful suggestion that the person wouldn’t actually attack anyone.
