He described a woman in London who has been printing out his picture daily and, incredibly, eating it. She’s been doing this for 80 days, hoping he’ll give her a role in a movie. Powell recounted the story with a tone that made it sound like he was sharing a particularly disturbing experience, similar to a war veteran telling a harrowing tale.

Monique, known online as @mynameismonique, gained notoriety for… well, eating a printout of actor Powell’s face. She hadn’t yet appeared in any of his films, but after 140 days of this unusual habit, she stopped at the premiere of Running Man in November 2025, dramatically eating his face printout right in front of him. In a video from the event, Powell appears gracious, playfully saying, “Now it’s a premiere!” after she takes a bite. However, he later admitted he was caught off guard. He explained that he only learned about Monique’s habit while walking the red carpet. “Someone told me ‘the girl who eats your face is here,’ and I had no idea what they were talking about!” he said.
