The recent Xbox Partner Preview highlighted several exciting games headed to Xbox consoles and PC, like Armatus, The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu, and Raji: Kaliyuga. What stood out was that, unlike many other game showcases, each trailer showed logos for all platforms the game will be available on – not just Xbox. This avoided a common annoyance of focusing solely on Xbox branding.
Usually, when a game is shown at these events, it signals that the game will be released on the console of the company hosting the event—PlayStation for Sony, Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 for Nintendo, and others. But yesterday, the logos for both the PS5 and the new Nintendo Switch 2 appeared repeatedly during the presentation, which is unusual.

Out of the 16 games featured in the Xbox Partner Preview, 13 of them also showed logos for PlayStation or Nintendo Switch, indicating they’ll be released on those platforms too. The only exceptions were Echo Generation 2, Roadside Research, and Cloverpit, which are currently confirmed as Xbox exclusives.
This small detail highlights Xbox’s approach of making its games available on many different devices, as seen in its “This is an Xbox” campaign and the Xbox Play Anywhere feature. With Play Anywhere, you buy a game once and can play it on your Xbox, PC, and even mobile devices. In fact, yesterday’s preview event kicked off with the announcement that all the games showcased would support this feature.
The recent Xbox Partner Preview showcased 16 game updates and new titles. Highlights included Vampire Crawlers from poncle, Armatus from the creators of Godfall (Counterplay Games), and Tides of Annihilation, a new game from Eclipse Glow Games.
