Wuthering Waves Reveals 6 Characters For the Mengzhou Region

Kuro Games recently revealed details about the next big update for Wuthering Waves, giving us a sneak peek at six new characters who will be featured in the upcoming Mengzhou region. This update also wrapped up the Lahai-Roi story arc and introduced the new character, Lucilla, as well as a special collaboration with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

Now that those events are finished, we’re heading back to Huanglong! Version 3.5 will introduce a fresh group of playable characters—the Resonators—and future updates will continue their stories. The official game accounts have recently shown us some new faces and even a reimagined version of a familiar character, giving us a sneak peek at who we’ll be playing as in the Mengzhou storyline. Here’s a rundown of everything revealed so far.

All Six Confirmed Mengzhou Characters in Wuthering Waves











The creators of Wuthering Waves have announced six new characters who will appear in the game’s Mengzhou story.

  • Yangyang: Xuanling
  • Suisui
  • Suoming
  • Jingran
  • Qingxiao
  • Hsin

You probably know Yangyang, also known as Xuanling! She’s been in the game since it launched as a 4-star character from Jinzhou. Now, the developers have confirmed a new version of her that will likely be important to the game’s story.

Based on recent information and discussions after the latest announcement, it looks like Yangyang’s companions, Xuanling and Suisui, will likely be the first new characters you can play in Version 3.5 when it comes out later this year.

The teaser also showed off four more new characters: Suoming, Jingran, Qingxiao, and Hsin. We don’t yet know anything about their abilities, weapons, how rare they are, or how they’ll fight. Like the other characters from the Huanglong region, their designs have a distinct Chinese aesthetic.

What We Know About Mengzhou So Far and Version 3.5

I’ve been hearing about Mengzhou for ages, even before the developers officially showed it off! It’s a huge city in the Huanglong region and it sounds incredible. From what I understand, it’s covered in rivers and beautiful landscapes, and it’s a major hub for trade. Plus, there’s a really strong Taoist presence there, which is cool. What really sets Mengzhou apart from places like Jinzhou, though, is its advanced technology – apparently, they’ve been building some seriously impressive automatons with the help of their Sentinel.

The city is located beyond the Land of Xuanfang, a historically vital area used to defend against threats from Tacet Discord. The new characters are all important figures within the city’s government and different groups. Hsin is specifically identified as Mengzhou’s protector, and Jingran, Qingxiao, and Suoming are also connected to this region.

The story is expanding beyond its initial location, as Suisui now links to Mingting, the capital of Huanglong. As we move forward with exploring Huanglong, we’ll be seeing more cities. While Kuro Games hasn’t revealed when all six characters will be available, Mengzhou will be the primary focus of Version 3.5 and future updates.
