A massive snack store has opened in China, boasting over 30,000 snacks from around the globe.
Mingming Henmang, the biggest snack retailer in China, recently opened a new store in Changsha called ‘Snack Kingdom’. This store aims to offer a special shopping experience for snack fans, and it carries over 6,500 different snack brands from around the globe.
On April 17th, this snack store opened and immediately earned a Guinness World Record as the largest of its kind, covering an impressive area of over 12,000 square meters.
The store’s attractions explained
When you enter the store, you’re greeted by a hallway lined with glass cabinets overflowing with colorful snacks. An eye-catching art piece made from 70,000 lollipops, recreating a well-known album cover, is also on display.
The store is organized into sections based on different kinds of snacks. One area, called ‘Instant Noodle City,’ has over 3,500 different kinds of instant noodles. The cola selection is equally impressive, with tall shelves stocked with both popular brands like Coca-Cola and Pepsi, and more unusual flavors like salted cola.
Snack Kingdom has been incredibly popular since opening! After just two days, they had to temporarily stop selling items to restock, improve their systems, and speed up the checkout process. Despite the sales pause, the store remained open for people to look around and take photos.
