- Where Winds Meet is celebrating its half-anniversary with a massive announcement
- The Imperial Palace is set to be their next major expansion
- It promises to be a richly detailed recreation of the structure and its intrigues
The wuxia world of Where Winds Meet has quickly become popular with players globally, and its success is clear from the plans of its creators, NetEase and Everstone Studios. They’re celebrating the game’s six-month anniversary and have just announced a brand new, major expansion!
The Hexi expansion took players to the edges of China, but the Imperial Palace expansion will bring them right to the center of the empire. Though it might be a bit smaller in overall size, the Imperial Palace promises a huge and incredibly detailed recreation of the palace itself, complete with all its hidden passages and the intricate power struggles of the court.
The Imperial Palace will be filled with life, featuring over 3000 characters, including the royal family. Given the importance of palace intrigue in Chinese history, this expansion promises to be captivating for both players and those interested in history.
Imperial march
Of course, the Imperial Palace is far from the only major feature coming to Where Winds Meet. The Homesteading system will let you return to the town of Qinghe and construct your own private residence, complete with farming! They also reiterated that Where Winds Meet is set to receive a host of optimisations and additional servers for players across the world.
With the addition of gauntlets as a new weapon, five-player PvE challenges, a companion system, and a new mode focused on exploring ancient tombs, Where Winds Meet players will have plenty of fresh content to enjoy for a long time.
