With the Super Mario movie universe growing, fans are wondering who should play Wario. Charlie Day, who plays Luigi, thinks Danny DeVito would be perfect for the role. He told Screenrant that DeVito’s voice acting experience – including voicing The Lorax in five different languages – makes him a great fit. Day even imagines a hilarious Italian-speaking DeVito as Wario. Given that Day and DeVito have worked together for years on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, some fans are hoping Rob McElhenney could play Waluigi too. Nintendo has a real opportunity here. While they couldn’t get DeVito into the Detective Pikachu movie, a Mario sequel would be a smart move, especially given how well the first film performed at the box office.
