Twitch streamer Nina Lin arrested during Knicks championship celebrations

Nina Lin, a Twitch streamer, was arrested by New York City police close to Madison Square Garden. The arrest happened after video surfaced of her climbing on top of an Amazon delivery van while fans celebrated the New York Knicks.

On June 13th in Manhattan, police made an arrest as fans celebrated the Knicks winning their first NBA championship in 53 years. The Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs 94-90 in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, ending a long wait for a title, and the celebration drew crowds near Madison Square Garden and throughout New York City.

Lin streams live content in real life and has gained a significant online following. However, she’s also frequently faced criticism and controversy due to her actions during those broadcasts.

In October 2025, Lin and Zoe Spencer were banned from Twitch after an old video caused significant public criticism. The video showed them behaving inappropriately towards FaZe Silky’s assistant, Said, and many viewers felt the behavior was non-consensual. This incident led to a wider discussion about how Twitch handles inappropriate content and enforces its rules.

According to reports, the NYPD was dispersing crowds near the arena and using barricades on several streets to prevent gatherings outside official viewing locations.

Videos shared online showed Jeremy Lin apparently getting onto a car while fans yelled “Knicks in 5.” It’s currently unknown if he will face any charges related to this event.
