Tomb Raider TV Series Finds Another Actor Joining Sophie Turner’s Lara Croft

After years of anticipation, a Tomb Raider TV show is officially in the works, and Sophie Turner will be taking on the role of the famous Lara Croft. Now, fans are eager to find out who else will be joining the cast on Prime Video.

According to Variety, Martin Bobb-Semple, a British actor known for his work on shows like All American: Homecoming and One of Us is Lying, will be a regular cast member on the show, though details about his character haven’t been released yet.

Production on the Tomb Raider show is set to begin in January 2026.

As previously shared, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the creator of Fleabag, is the driving force behind this series, handling writing, creation, and executive production. She’s joined by Chad Hodge, known for his work on ‘Single All the Way’ and ‘Wayward Pines,’ who will co-run the show and also serve as an executive producer. Jonathan van Tulleken, the director of Shogun, is also on board as an executive producer and director.

Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander both previously played Lara Croft in movies. Now, Daisy Turner says she’s incredibly excited to take on the role.

The Tomb Raider series for Prime Video was approved with Jennifer Salke leading the project at Amazon MGM Studios. However, Salke left the company earlier this year following reports of internal disagreements, and she had been directly involved in the series’ development.

According to Puck’s Matthew Belloni, developing the next Tomb Raider game has been a lengthy process involving several writers’ rooms and costing “tens of millions” of dollars.

Amazon is not only making the Tomb Raider TV show, but they’re also releasing the next game developed by Crystal Dynamics. Importantly, the game and the TV series are separate stories and won’t connect to each other.
