Jesse Lally, from the band The Valley, seemed confused when asked by TMZ about his ex-girlfriend, Michelle Saniei, and her new relationship with Dr. Dre. Paparazzi photos surfaced on Saturday, April 25th, showing Saniei and Dre leaving Nobu together. Lally said he found out about the relationship on social media just like everyone else. He jokingly pointed out that he was listening to N.W.A. in 1988 – the year Saniei was born – and doubted she had much interest in rap, adding a sarcastic “good for her” about her dating Dre.
The long and complicated split between Saniei and Lally has been a recurring storyline on The Valley for several seasons. While Lally has often criticized his ex on the show, he recently told TMZ he simply wants her to be happy. He explained, “She’s happy, she’s single, and she can live her life as she chooses. My main concern is that their daughter, Isabella, doesn’t experience the same pain she did when she broke up with Aaron Nosler. That was a tough time for everyone involved.”
