It’s been a while since fans last received new content – the latest game came out in 2020, and the most recent season of the HBO show finished in May 2025. While there’s no confirmed release date for The Last of Us Part III and Season 3 of the TV series isn’t expected until 2027, Neil Druckmann and Naughty Dog are still planning to offer something for fans in the meantime.
A new release for fans of The Last of Us is coming this summer! In June 2026, the complete soundtrack will be available, and it’s expected to appeal to both video game players and viewers of the HBO show.
The Last of Us Season 2 Soundtrack is Officially Available For Pre-Order
The soundtrack for Season 2 of The Last of Us came out in 2025, but it sold out quickly and many fans weren’t able to buy the vinyl version. It was very popular!
The soundtrack for Season 2 of The Last of Us is back in stock thanks to Mondo Music. You can pre-order the vinyl set now, and it will ship starting in June 2026 when it’s officially released.
If you didn’t get the vinyl soundtrack the first time, now’s your chance! This 3-vinyl set, featuring over 40 award-winning songs by Gustavo Santaolalla and David Fleming, is available for $80. It’s a must-have for both gamers and fans of the HBO show.
This vinyl collection is especially exciting because it features brand-new recordings of popular tracks from The Last of Us Part II, including “The Path” with Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine. It also includes four original vocal songs, notably a cover of A-ha’s “Take on Me” performed by Bella Ramsey, the Emmy-nominated actress who voices Ellie.
As a bonus, this vinyl set features a beautifully designed triple gatefold jacket with a soft, velvety feel. The three vinyl records themselves are also color-coded to match the album’s themes, with each record’s design carefully overseen by Janie Peacock.
Fans of the original Last of Us game and the HBO series often disagree, especially because the show made significant changes to the story. However, music is something everyone can enjoy. Whether you prefer it on its own or as a companion to the Last of Us narrative, the official soundtrack for Season 2 should appeal to everyone.
You can play The Last of Us Part II on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The second season of The Last of Us is now streaming on Max and Prime Video.
