Even the smallest hint about The Elder Scrolls 6 gets fans excited, so it’s funny that the latest news is fairly minor. YouTuber Any Austin recently counted all the trees in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim and discovered there are 46,430 of them.
Before figuring it out by exploring the game and its files, he asked director Todd Howard how many dragons there were. Howard guessed 111,111. But will The Elder Scrolls 6 feature even more? “Yes, definitely more,” Howard confirmed.
Even though it might seem minor, this small detail has already sparked a lot of excitement and speculation about where the next game will take place. Many fans think it could be Hammerfell, a location that’s been talked about for a while, because the trees shown could represent jungles or swamps. Others believe it might be Valenwood, the homeland of the Bosmer people, located in the southwest.
Whether you’re excited about it or not, don’t expect to hear much about The Elder Scrolls 6 soon. Even though it was first announced in 2018, development is still ongoing, and it will be a while before it’s released. However, those working on the game say progress is going well, and they’re committed to taking the time needed to make it a truly excellent game, keeping fan expectations in mind.
