Tekken couple goes viral after facing each other in Top 8

A couple is getting a lot of attention online after competing against each other in the Top 8 round of a big Tekken 8 competition.

LVL UP EXPO is a Las Vegas convention celebrating gaming, anime, and pop culture. It also features esports tournaments with many different games.

I was so excited to see Tekken 8 at EXPO this year! They even held a tournament, and it was a big one – 137 people entered! It was awesome seeing pros like Arslan Ash, Cuddle Core, kkokkoma, and Rangchu all competing. It was a really great event!

While famous Tekken players weren’t the focus of attention this weekend, two other competitors quickly became popular. Their charming pre-match routine and the surprising way they both reached the Top 8 captivated viewers.

Tekken 8 Top 8 turns into couple showdown with viral pre-match kiss

Both ‘Fear of Silence’ and ‘SVL’ are skilled Tekken players who competed against 137 others and reached the Top 8 of the loser’s bracket. They are also a couple.

The couple announced their achievement on X (formerly Twitter) with a cute photo of them playfully posing as if in a battle.

He shared on social media that he reached the top 8 at the LVL UP EXPO, but his first match will be against his girlfriend! He’s excited to compete with her on stage.

“When you make Top 8 and your first opponent is your boyfriend,” SVL lamented in a separate post.

The two competitors faced off in the first round of the losers’ bracket. After a handshake, they shared a sweet, quick kiss – a moment that instantly went viral on social media.

In the end, Lee from Fear of Silence won against Dragunov from SVL with a score of 2-0, eliminating SVL from the competition. Fear of Silence then competed against Cuddle Core, but lost the match 2-0 in the Losers Quarter Final.

Their match has gone viral within the fighting game community, sparking no end of jokes.
