The animated series Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 is now available on Netflix, and it features a fantastic soundtrack, just like the original show. Here’s a complete list of all the songs used throughout the 10 episodes.
The show Stranger Things skillfully used 1980s music to enhance its storytelling. For example, in the first season, The Clash’s ‘Should I Stay or Should I Go’ became linked to Will’s struggle while lost in the Upside Down. Later, in season two, The Police’s ‘Every Breath You Take’ effectively underscored the continuing danger posed by the Mind Flayer.
Dustin and Suzie’s performance of ‘NeverEnding Story’ was a key moment in a thrilling action scene during Season 3, and Kate Bush’s ‘Running Up That Hill’ powerfully underscored what many consider the best scene in all of Stranger Things, in Season 4.
Tales From ’85 keeps the spirit alive with popular songs from the 1980s, and now includes a punk edge thanks to the exciting new character, Nikki.
