Soulja Boy adds bizarre Rapper University “multiplayer” game to reality competition application

Soulja Boy is now accepting applications for Rapper University online! Aspiring artists need to apply through a new system that includes submitting a video audition. He’s also released a free online game connected to his upcoming Twitch plans.

The rapper initially threatened a feud with Kai Cenat if he wasn’t allowed into Streamer University 2026. He then quickly announced his own competing school, Rapper University, which he said would be filmed in Atlanta and broadcast on his Twitch channel.

RapperUniversity.net now includes more information on applying. To apply, you’ll need to create and upload a one-minute video to YouTube explaining why you deserve a spot, and then submit the video link in the online application.

This opportunity is for anyone involved in the creative process – including students, artists, producers, teachers, mentors, and those who help bring projects to life, like managers and promoters.

Rapper University game has a fake multiplayer twist

The biggest new feature is Rapper University: Campus World, a free online game available on the official website.

This game is a 3D role-playing adventure played with others online. Players design their own characters and explore a virtual campus where they can earn rewards, gain popularity, finish missions, and connect with other players in an online space.

The game takes place on a small virtual college campus where players gather collectibles. Once they’ve collected enough, they can approach Soulja Boy at the center stage to finish an “admission quest” and receive confirmation of their acceptance.

The game clarifies that it’s not the official way to apply and encourages players to use the school’s admissions website instead.

Okay, so I was really excited about the possibility of playing this game with others! It looks like it has all the things you’d expect for online play – a Battle Arena, even a place to see how many people are supposedly online, and a dorm life building that felt like it should connect you. But honestly? Testing showed there wasn’t any actual multiplayer functionality. I tried hitting the ‘Join Online Room’ button, and yeah, the player count would change, but it seemed totally fake. There was no lobby to join, no other players… nothing! It’s a bit disappointing because it looks like it should be online, but it isn’t.

Soulja Boy recently explained that Rapper University is a reality TV competition. Aspiring rappers will compete in freestyle battles, record music in the studio, perform live, and face unexpected eliminations, according to the show’s official trailer description.

The show’s trailer promises a competition where high-achieving students will vie for prizes, career opportunities, and the chance to boast about their win, but a premiere date hasn’t been announced yet.

Rapper University’s website states the show will be broadcast live on Twitch, but as of now, Soulja Boy hasn’t revealed when the first episode or stream will start.
