Lacari returns from six-month Twitch ban to take accountability for explicit files

Twitch streamer Lacari is back online after a six-month break caused by bans from both Twitch and Kick. He’s taking responsibility for his actions during the controversy and has shared the findings of a forensic investigation, which confirmed no illegal content was found on his devices.

So, back in January 2026, Lacari got banned from both streaming platforms, and it was a total accident! He accidentally showed a notepad file on stream, and the file names looked like they were referencing some really inappropriate stuff. I actually followed the whole thing when it happened, it was pretty wild.

During his return to broadcasting, he clarified that the notepad file came from a game he downloaded using a torrent. He explained the links within it led to harmful software, phishing attempts, and adult content, rather than the illegal files viewers had suspected.

To clear things up, Lacari turned over his computer to Exhibit A Computer Forensics for an unbiased investigation. He then made the results of that investigation public.

Investigators thoroughly checked the contents of his computer’s hard drive, reviewing more than 250,000 images and using software to identify adult content. They found no illegal materials anywhere on the drive that they could recover.

We also found and reviewed records from as far back as July 2022, giving us a complete picture of everything that happened before the incident in January.

So, they looked into that system reset back in February, and it turns out it was just normal Windows stuff – nothing fishy going on, and definitely no one trying to delete my data. They also checked out my use of CCleaner, and it seems I was just doing regular PC maintenance, not trying to hide anything. Basically, everything checked out!

Lacari acknowledged he initially offered weak justifications and didn’t fully address concerns that he now recognizes were important.

He shared that he’d become seriously addicted to downloading pirated games. To address this, he completed a 30-day treatment program while taking a break from gaming, and he also continued with regular therapy.
